Tabs
Your tabs sit in a horizontal strip at the top and stay there. There’s no vertical tabs mode, and no setting that moves the strip into the sidebar.Switching with the keyboard
Hold Control and tap Tab. You’ll get a filmstrip of your open tabs, ordered by the ones you used most recently.What a new tab shows
Open a new tab and you get one field with a Search and Ask Ve toggle under it. Press Tab to switch between the two.
In Search mode you’ll get suggestions as you type. Arrow keys move through them,
and Esc dismisses the list.
Switch to Ask Ve and the bar grows a + for attaching files, plus pickers for
the provider, model and reasoning effort. Anything you attach sits on the new
tab as a chip until you send. Use Shift + Enter for a line
break instead of sending.

The sidebar
Treat the sidebar as a launcher rather than a tab list. Your tabs are never in it. What you’ll find is your profile, whatever Ve has picked up for today, and the pages inside Ve you keep going back to. The button at its top right hides it. Once it’s hidden, a Show sidebar button turns up at the far left of the toolbar to bring it back. You’ll only ever see one of the two.The header
The profile menu
Click your avatar and you get a menu with your current profile at the top and any others below it, so you can switch between them. Under that, four actions:
Then five rows that open a panel beside the menu when you hover or click:
Bookmark, Download, Extensions, History and Developers.
Workspace and Threads
One row under Workspace:
Under Threads, Recent chats expands into your chat history. You’ll see
chats you started in Ve merged with your ChatGPT history, read from the
chatgpt.com session you’re already signed into. Pinned chats sit at the top.
Hover a chat and you get two buttons: pin it, or delete it. Chats you started in
Ve’s own panel can be deleted but not pinned. The + in the section header
starts a fresh one.
Things you need to know
A card at the top of the sidebar shows your next meeting and a short row of suggested actions. If a meeting has already started it reads Happening now rather than Upcoming, and you get a Join button when Ve can find a real meeting link. With no meeting and no suggestion, the card hides itself.When the sidebar is collapsed
A small pill of icons takes its place next to the toolbar: the Ve spark, which floats that same “Things you need to know” card as a popup, your avatar for the profile menu, a Mission Control chip and a shortcut to Memory. The Mission Control chip doesn’t do anything yet.The command bar
Click the magnifier in the sidebar header. Command + K does the same, as long as the sidebar has keyboard focus. It opens centred over the page rather than inside the sidebar, with a field reading “Search tabs, history…” and three sections below it.
Type and all three filter at once. Arrow keys move your selection,
Enter opens it, and Esc closes the bar.
