Tabs
Tabs sit in a horizontal strip at the top of the window and stay there. Ve has no vertical tabs mode, and no setting moves the strip into the sidebar.Switching with the keyboard
Hold Control and tap Tab. A filmstrip of your open tabs appears, ordered by the ones you used most recently.What a new tab shows
A new tab opens on one field with a Search and Ask Ve toggle under it. Press Tab to move between the two modes.
In Search mode Ve offers suggestions as you type. Arrow keys move through them,
and Esc dismisses the list.
In Ask Ve mode the bar grows a + for attaching files and pickers for the
provider, model and reasoning effort. Files you attach stay on the new tab as
chips until you send. Shift + Enter adds a line break
instead of sending.

The sidebar
The sidebar is a launcher, not a tab list. Your tabs are never in it. It carries your profile, what Ve has picked up for today, and the pages inside Ve you keep going back to. The button at the top right of the sidebar hides it. Once hidden, a Show sidebar button appears at the far left of the toolbar to bring it back. Only one of the two is ever on screen.The header
The profile menu
Clicking your avatar opens a menu with your current profile at the top and any other profiles below it, so you can switch between them. Under that, four actions:
Then five rows that open a panel beside the menu when you hover or click them:
Bookmark, Download, Extensions, History and Developers.
Workspace and Threads
One row under Workspace:
Under Threads, Recent chats expands into your chat history. The list
merges chats you started in Ve with your ChatGPT history, read from the
chatgpt.com session you are already signed into. Pinned chats sit at the top.
Hover a chat for two buttons: pin it, or delete it. Chats started in Ve’s own
panel can be deleted but not pinned. The + in the section header starts a
fresh chat.
Things you need to know
A card at the top of the sidebar shows your next meeting and a short row of suggested actions. A meeting that has already started reads Happening now rather than Upcoming, and carries a Join button when Ve can find a real meeting link. The card hides itself when there is no meeting and no suggestion.When the sidebar is collapsed
A small pill of icons takes its place next to the toolbar: the Ve spark, which floats the same “Things you need to know” card as a popup, your avatar for the profile menu, a Mission Control chip and a shortcut to Memory. The Mission Control chip does nothing yet.The command bar
Click the magnifier in the sidebar header. Command + K does the same thing while the sidebar has keyboard focus. The bar opens centred over the page, not inside the sidebar, with a field reading “Search tabs, history…” and three sections below it.
