Ve will not open, or macOS refuses it
Check which macOS you’re on: Apple menu, then About This Mac. You need Ventura (13) or later. Older than that and Ve won’t open, and there’s nothing you can change in Ve to fix it. Ve knows Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Arc, Dia and Comet by name, and finds most other Chromium browsers on its own. It can’t read Safari or Firefox. If your browser should have been found and wasn’t, you’ve probably never opened it on this Mac, so there’s no profile for Ve to read.”No open tabs found (is that browser fully closed?)”
Ve reads the session file your other browser last wrote. If that browser has never saved one, or the file is encrypted, there’s nothing for Ve to find. Try quitting the other browser first, which forces it to write the session out. Ve reopens up to 40 tabs in one go.I imported my logins but sites still ask me to sign in
Reload the tabs. Your cookies arrive in the background, and a tab you already had open is still showing its old signed-out state. If a site still asks after a reload, it’s one that ties your session to the browser it was created in. No browser can move those, so you’ll need to sign in once.Chat will not answer
You need a connected model. Browsing works without one, chat doesn’t. OpenSettings > AI and connect ChatGPT, Grok, GitHub Copilot or Kimi. For
anything else, including Claude and Gemini, paste an API key. See Connect a
model.
Chat pauses before it sends, just after launch
Chat talks to a process that starts up alongside the browser. If you send something in the first moments after opening Ve, it waits for that process rather than failing. Give it a few seconds. If it never sends, quit Ve and open it again.Password autofill does not appear
Check the login is actually saved, underSettings > Password.
When Ve signs you in on its own, it only uses a login saved for that exact site
and ignores ones saved for related addresses. Fill it in yourself and Ve is more
forgiving.
I cannot add anyone to my workspace
OpenSettings > Account first, then go to Members. If you land on Members
directly the buttons stay inactive, even when you own the workspace.
This one’s a bug on our side rather than anything you did. We’re fixing it.
