Shortcuts. There are three, and they all start from the same key.
The three bindings
Prediction and Dictation share one key. Tap it for prediction, hold it for
dictation. Rebinding moves both.
Rebinding
Click the key on the Prediction or Dictation card, then press the key you want to use. Esc backs out without changing anything. Reset to Defaults at the bottom of the list puts the key back to Fn.Where the keys work
Two switches at the top of the page decide the reach of all three shortcuts.
Inside browser is where a new install starts, so nothing works outside Ve
until you say so.
Turning Global on covers inside Ve as well, so the Inside browser switch
goes off and greys out. It also needs the macOS permissions below, which Ve asks
for at that point rather than at startup. Turn Global off to go back to Ve only.
Whichever you pick is remembered after you quit and relaunch.
Permissions Global needs
Global needs three macOS permissions, each with a Grant button. They appear only once you turn Global on. Ve reads their status again every time you come back to the tab, so a permission you just granted in System Settings shows up without a reload.Where what you press goes
All three shortcuts open a connection to Ve’s servers atvoice-intelligence.us-east-1.ve.ai. They are not local.
If what is on screen should not leave your Mac, do not press the key over it.
